Moshe, a man who superseded the physical to bring spirituality into the world, the most influential person in Jewish history, was saved by the Batya, the princess of Egypt while floating in the Nile River.
But it was only when she had complete trust in God, that she was able to achieve the unimaginable, to bridge the gap that seemed impossible.
As a reward, she is given the name Batya, the daughter of God, and the honor of naming the foremost leader of the Jewish nation.

Yaakov lives the final 17 years of his life in Egypt. Before his passing, he asks Yosef to take an oath that he will bury him in Israel.
He blesses Yosef's two sons, elevating them to the status of his sons, as tribes within the Jewish nation.
Yakkov desires to reveal the date of the ultimate redemption to his children, but God prevented him from doing so.
We find out why he is not allowed to reveal the date.
We learn how powerful a human being is.

Yeudah approaches Yosef to plead for the release of Benyamin, offering himself as a slave to the Egyptian ruler in Benyamin’s stead.
Upon witnessing his brothers’ loyalty to one another, Yosef reveals his identity to them. “I am Yosef he declares. “Is my father still alive?
We read about Yeudah complete repentance, therefore meriting the kingship of the Jewish people to be in his bloodline forever.

Yosef's imprisonment finally ends when Pharaoh has dreams that only Yosef can interpret. He advises Pharoah to store grain to anticipate the famine. Pharaoh then appoints Yosef to oversee the project, making him one of the most powerful people in the world.
During the famine, his brothers make the journey to Egypt and are brought before Yosef, which they don't recognize.
We learn the essential component needed for human interaction and successful relationships.

Good will always supersede evil, light will always outshine the darkness.

In this week's Torah portion, Yosef is loved by his father but hated by his brothers, when he told them his dreams of being a king, they decided to sell him.
While in Egypt, Yosef finds success but was put the prison on the basis of false accusations. He found success in prison as a dream analyzer.
He interprets the dreams of Pharaoh's Butler and Baker, in the hopes that the butler will intercede on his behalf before Pharaoh. But the butler forgets all about Yosef when he is freed.
We find out how Yosef holds his faith.
