Our Parsha begins with Hashem telling Moshe to solicit donations from the Jewish people to construct the Mishkan, a sanctuary and home in this world.
They were asked to donate precious stones, gold, silver, copper. Specialty red, blue, and purple wool, linen, animal skins, and acacia wood.
We find out why G-d first asked them to give and then told them what it was for.
We learn where the act of giving flows from.
