This Friday and Shabbos are Rosh Chodesh Adar. It says in the Talmud (Taanis 29A) that when Adar comes, joy increases; may we experience such happiness during this amazing month and beyond.
Our Parsha begins with Hashem giving Moshe and the Jewish nation fifty-three new practical commandments. He gave them the laws regarding the treatment of slaves, personal injury, murder, and the requirements of a person who is a guardian of another’s property.
We find out why Hashem interrupts the flow of the Parsha to tell Moshe about an angel.
We learn who this angel is and how Hashem cherishes the Jewish nation.
