Forward Into Light: The Pesach Perspective
Pesach is more than a story of the past—it’s a mission for the present. True freedom is not just leaving Egypt, but choosing to live with purpose. The Rebbe teaches that freedom isn’t comfort—it’s commitment. Each mitzvah, each step, brings the world closer to redemption.
As we sit at the Seder, we don’t just remember the Exodus—we embody it, reclaim it, and move forward into light. Especially this year, as pain and purpose collide, may we be the generation that doesn’t just repeat history—but completes it.

Parshas Vayikra: Essence Over Ego
Why does the Torah forbid yeast and honey in offerings, but require salt? The Rambam teaches it’s to distance us from idol worship. But the Lubavitcher Rebbe reveals something deeper: yeast and honey represent ego and external sweetness, while salt represents truth, humility, and inner essence.
When we approach G-d, we don’t need performance—we need presence. We prepare for redemption not by adding more, but by returning to who we truly are. The most powerful offerings come not from ego, but from essence.

Parshas Pekudei: Redemption In Progress
As Moshe completes the Mishkan, the Torah repeats the word Mishkan—but why? According to Rashi and the Kli Yakar, this repetition points to both the physical sanctuary below and the spiritual Mishkan above. It reflects not just what was built, but what is still being held in trust—a divine collateral for redemption yet to come.
The Lubavitcher Rebbe taught that our generation is the final step before Geulah. Every mitzvah, every act of faith, adds a brick to the future. Even in moments of exile or uncertainty, we’re not just enduring—we’re building.

Why does the Torah pause the Mishkan’s construction to emphasize Shabbos? The Ohr HaChaim teaches that Shabbos elevates our work, infusing it with divine purpose. True success isn’t just effort—it’s aligning with G-d’s plan.

The Purim Perspective: Silence Before Salvation
Purim is more than celebration—it’s a revelation of G-d’s hidden hand in history. Queen Esther’s decision to wait before revealing Haman’s plot teaches a powerful lesson: sometimes, the greatest victories come not through immediate action, but through patience, faith, and divine timing.
Today, as we witness unfolding events in Israel and beyond, we are reminded that even in darkness, G-d is setting the stage for redemption. The very struggles that test our faith are often the catalysts for transformation.

This week’s Parsha shifts from the Mishkan’s construction to those who serve within it. The Menorah’s light reminds us that every Jew fuels the divine presence, ensuring G-d’s light shines in all circumstances.

Parshas Terumah: Always With Us
📍 Wherever we go, G-d goes with us. The Aron, the holiest vessel in the Mishkan, had poles that were never removed. Why? Rabbi Shimshon Raphael Hirsch explains: G-d’s presence is not tied to a place—it moves with us, in exile and redemption, in struggle and triumph. He is never distant.
As we enter Adar, we remember Purim’s hidden miracles—where darkness turned to light in an instant. Even now, in uncertain times, redemption is unfolding. May we soon see G-d’s presence revealed once more.

This week’s episode honors Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka, whose quiet strength shaped generations.
Our Parsha presents 53 mitzvos, forming the core of Jewish law. But why does it begin with Eved Ivri (Jewish slave)—a seemingly irrelevant law? The Rebbe teaches that a Jew always serves something. Do we choose the eternal, or the fleeting?

Our Parsha brings us to Matan Torah, where G-d revealed the Aseres HaDibros (Ten Commandments). But why does the very first word—"אָנֹכִי" ("I am")—come from the Egyptian language? What does this teach us about Torah, faith, and the unbreakable bond between G-d and the Jewish people?

Parshas Beshalach: Vision Beyond Darkness
This Shabbos marks Yud Shevat, the anniversary of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s leadership—a legacy of light that continues to transform world Jewry. The Rebbe’s vision reached beyond communities, ensuring every Jew felt seen and empowered. His leadership was not just global but deeply personal, inspiring millions to connect to G-d and their mission in this world.
In this week’s Parsha, we relive the splitting of the sea, a moment of fear turned into faith. Trapped between Pharaoh’s army and the water, the Jewish people cried out in despair. But Moshe’s words echoed through time: “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and witness G-d’s salvation.” With a mighty wind, the sea split, paving the way for redemption. The people sang—not just out of relief, but in recognition of G-d’s hand guiding their destiny.

Our Parsha concludes the first book of the Torah, Sefer Bereishis. Ya’akov Avinu spent the last seventeen years of his life in Egypt, a time of peace and fulfillment after decades of struggle.
As his life neared its end, Ya’akov called for Yosef and asked him to swear that he would not bury him in Egypt but in Eretz Yisroel, with his ancestors. Yosef swore to honor his father’s request.
Ya’akov then blessed Yosef’s sons, Efraim and Menashe, elevating them to the status of tribes within the Jewish people. This act ensured that Yosef’s legacy would hold a unique and eternal place in Jewish history.
We find how unique and special Efraim and Menasha were.
